Meet META Scholar Ester!
She’s a senior at UC Berkeley, majoring in Public Health.
Ester is already making a global impact! She traveled to Greece to help care for Syrian migrants during the height of the refugee crisis.
“I am passionate about equitable health, especially for low-income, minority groups. Preventative care is important for disease prevention and overall well-being. One of my most memorable college experiences to date was going to Athens, Greece to help with the Syrian refugee crisis.”
Introducing META Scholar Steven!
He is a freshman studying Political Science at USC.
Steven’s work ethic earned him straight A’s during his first semester at college!
“I am passionate about civil rights. I view law as an avenue to be able to advocate for marginalized groups in the future. For this reason, I am heavily motivated to succeed in school because it is not just about me. It is about the millions of undocumented brown kids that are hoping someone will stand up and defend them.”
Meet META Scholar Valerie!
She’s a junior at UCLA majoring in Nursing.
Valerie’s studies have taught her the importance of mental and emotional health, especially when she’s under stress!
“I am really passionate about healthcare! Health is such an important topic that often gets overlooked and it is not just your physical health but also your mental and emotional health as well. Being in a mentally draining and challenging environment like UCLA, I have learned how to take care of my physical and mental health in ways that I never knew I was lacking in!”
